I’ve been looking at the earliest drawings of birds in cave paintings. Here are a few of my favourites.
These are from California and were painted by the Baja people. I’m interested in how rectangle the birds’ wings are because birds wings aren’t rectangle.
Mythical bird called a Thunderbird. I like the detail on the wings.
An owl scraped into sandstone in Colorado. I think they blackened the stone with fire then scrape it in.
An aboriginal cave painting from Australia which possibly could be an Emu or Cassowary.
